Barbara Moorman of Glenford, NY, died on Friday, November 8, 2019 at St. Peter’s Hospital Community Hospice, Albany, NY.
Born in Laren NH, Netherlands in 1938, she was the daughter of the late Aart and Johanna (Kuyper) Vos.
Barbara married William A. Moorman on May 25, 1963 at Woodstock Reformed Church.
Barbara immigrated from Holland with her family to the US after WWII. Barbara was a Patron of the Arts. She was an avid reader, gardener and had a real love of nature and animals. She was known to have rescued many animals throughout her life. She was an elder at the Woodstock Dutch Reformed Church and was a member of its Consistory serving on the Building and Grounds Committee.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 56 years along with her two children, Matthew Moorman of South Jamesport, Long Island, Sasha Cyrelson and her husband David of Voorhees, NJ; her brothers Sebastiaan Vos of Harlingen, Netherlands and John Vos of Kingston, NY; and her three grandchildren Brody Moorman, Zachary and Tiana Cyrelson, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Barbara was predeceased by her brother Peter Vos, sister Hetty Crews, and brother Dominique StormVanLeeuwan.
A Funeral service will be held at the Woodstock Dutch Reformed Church on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 12:00PM.
Burial will follow at Woodstock Cemetery.
