Betty Sue Sibus

Betty Sue Sibus, 88, formerly of Woodstock, died Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the Thompson House Nursing Home. She was born in Andrews, N.C. on December 19, 1932 to the late Homer and Inez Nelson West. An Honorably Discharged Veteran, she served our nation with the US Air Force from 1952-54. She specialized in communications particularly, Morse code. Upon returning home she was the food program manager for the West Hurley School. 
Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Verdichizzi of Saugerties; sister, Wilma Munyon of CA; three grandchildren, Chrystal Verdichizzi, Lillian Verdichizzi and Brandon Camp. She was predeceased by her two sons, Barry and Brian Sibus and four brothers, Quinton, Dean, Bob and Mickey West.
Her Funeral Service will be held 10 am Friday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Burial will follow in the Woodstock Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday.
