Obituary

WOODSTOCK...Carlyle L. Moore, 93, died on Tuesday October 11, 2022 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital. He was born on August 22, 1929 in Tampa, FL to the late Carlyle L., Sr. and Gladys (Jenkins) Moore. Carlyle attended Hillsborough H.S. then served in the US Air Force from 1950-53. Upon returning home he met his wife, Janet and with her help enrolled and graduated from the University of Florida, Gainesville. They moved to Liverpool, NY to work at Carrier Corp. and welcomed a son Jonathan. After a short work-related move back to FL with Honeywell they moved back to NY and settled in Woodstock, while working for IBM, Kingston. Carlyle was with IBM from 1965-1990 as a facilities engineer. He loved to read, enjoyed photography and all forms of motorsports. 
Predeceased by his loving wife, Janet (James) Carlyle, he is survived by his son Jonathan L. Moore of Woodstock; nieces, Elaine Taylor, Sherry Tassoni and Elaine Berg and nephew, Doug Taylor. Carlyle was very close to his wife's family, especially Gayle Earl and Mildred of Tennessee. Services will be private.
