Donald Kline Obituary

Dr Donald Kline (son of Celia Goldenberg Kline and Irving Kline) of Woodstock NY, formally Edison, Perth Amboy and Woodbridge, NJ has passed away at 87 years old surrounded by his family. 

 

Dr Kline was a graduate of Woodbridge high school before graduating Magda Cum Laude in the first graduating class from Brandeis University.   He then went on to Medical School at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  

 

Dr Kline met his wife Audrey Mautner in Baltimore, Md where he was Chief Resident of Pediatrics at Mount Sinai  Hospital.  They would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on August 19th. 

 

Dr Kline was a Captain in the Air Force, stationed on Maxwell Air Force base in Montgomery Alabama.  Afterwards he returned to the Edison, NJ area, started his practice of Pediatrics, and became a well respected physician for over 40 years.  He was the first Pediatrician to be elected president of the medical and dental staff at John F Kennedy Hospital.

 

Dr Kline wore many hats throughout his life: Artist, photographer, musician, little league coach, and later in life Author.    

 

The island of Barbados held a special place in his heart which he shared with his family and friends, through his artwork and books. 

 

His beautiful paintings, photographs and books leave a legacy and message that you can become anything you want at any age. 

 

Donald is survived by his wife Audrey, their four children and  nine grandchildren: Jill (Marc Friedfertig ), Cameron , Cole and Chase.  Wendi (Alan Chinich), Brandon, Justin, Alexandra, and Taryn. Mark Kline,  Jay Kline (Kelly), Emma and Noah and his brother Norman Kline (Veni), all of whom he loved very much.

 

Arrangements are under the care of the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc. corner of John and Lafayette Streets, Saugerties.
