Donald P. Hanson, “Puppy John”, age 51, of Woodstock, N.Y., passed on July 27, 2020.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at noon at the Andy Lee Field in Woodstock on August 8th, 2020, where all are welcome to honor and commemorate his unique contributions to the Woodstock community. John was a treasured member of the Woodstock community. He was a regular fixture on the Village Green, playing his guitar or tinkering with one project after another. He could be counted on to listen to your thoughts, to lend a hand, and to bring a smile. His voice was mellow and wise, his laughter was contagious, and his smile could light the world. John will be deeply missed by all.
John was born December 19, 1969 in Oradell, New Jersey and was the son of Neil and Rose Hanson. He attended Bergen Catholic School and was a talented artist. He is survived by his daughter, Indigo Vigotty; his sister, Nancy Vanderkamp; his cousin, Diana Stagg; and many friends and loved ones.
