Erich Horst Heinze was born to Herma & Erich Heinze January 17th, 1948 in NYC. He passed in his sleep at his home in Burlington, CT April 29th 2024 at the age of 76.
Erich was a connoisseur of antiques & a history buff. He was a master storyteller & fluid illustrator whose distinct signature came naturally. He was a jovial ‘chip off the old block’ who lost his famous beard to a football bet like the 1990’s Lay’s Potato Chip commercial starring Kareem Abdul-Jabbar & Larry Bird. He fancied a lark (and high steaks).
He was The Sphinx. He flew planes & drove long distance; he had stories to tell. Above all, he was frighteningly incisive. His wit & drollery will be missed. He is survived by wife Catherine Heinze, daughters Margaret & Marion Heinze, son Tyler Maxwell Heinze and sister Lorelei Bardes. No Memorial is set at this time.
