James K. Corcoran

On January 25, 2020, we will celebrate the birth of and crossing over of my beloved husband, gentle love of my life, and companion witness to the astonishing wonders of life.

James K. Corcoran was born in Jersey City, NJ,  January 25, 1949, and crossed over suddenly, yet in grace and peace, January 16. Across 71 years, Jimi embraced many self-reinventions and lived his life joyously, purposefully. A computer systems executive for the U.S. Postal Service, he began his career when computer technology was in its nascent stage.

Jimi moved to West Shokan in 2016 after residing, raising his family, and making many friends in Minneapolis, for more than forty years. He was an avid music lover, artistic talent, skilled carver, great cook, raconteur, trickster, and loyal, loving friend to those fortunate enough to share his orbit.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Bryan of West Shokan; step-daughter, Molly Mullarkey Greener and husband, Jonathan; siblings and their spouses Maureen Corcoran Powers (James)Tim (Norgie Moran) Martin (Patty Beaugard) Harold (Rose) Leonard (Susan).

Jimi is survived by his loving and devoted children and sons and daughter in law: Cascia Corcoran Partensky (Boris), Robyn Corcoran Flaherty (Tim) Michael Corcoran (Jenny Murphy) and Rachel and Christopher Corcoran. Jimi had five adored grandchildren; Jacob; Rebekah: Kyla; Annabelle; and Samuel, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Luncheon on Saturday 1/25, Reservoir Inn, West Hurley, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
