Julie Case, a longtime resident of Woodstock, NY, died on June 5, 2025 at the age of 86. She is predeceased by her parents Hadley Case and Julie Ill Case; her sisters Deborah J. Case, Mary Case Durham, Rosalie C. Clark; and her niece Hilary E. Clark.
She is survived by her niece Caroline C. Durham of Scottsdale, AZ; her nephews David R. Durham of Scottsdale, AZ, Robert H. Clark III (Jennifer Nolen) of Roanoke, VA, Hadley C. Clark (Sara Stonner) of Larchmont, NY; as well as three grand-nieces and a grand-nephew.
Julie was a gifted pianist from an early age and studied at the New England Conservatory of Music. She also sang, composed music and performed with aspiring jazz musicians in New York City. She later moved to Woodstock where she cultivated a deep interest in Buddhism.
Julie will be remembered by her friends and family for her vivacious spirit, humor, and enduring passion for the arts, animals, and the environment. She was lovingly supported by a dedicated team of caregivers during the final years of her life. A private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Julie’s memory may be made to Karma Triyana Dharmachakra Monastery in Woodstock, NY and the Catskill Animal Sanctuary in Saugerties, NY.
